Its amazing features
Tue Aug 07, 2018 10:40 am
Technology in due time, or even just in a few snap can be upgraded. Powerpoint, among like any other program, undergoes upfrading. Some of its older version may not be available or supported anymore while some of those can still be used up to now. It's just that, the specifications and features of the latter versions were much better and convenient.
You can have a quick glance to the tabular or graphical Powerpoint's version.
PowerPoint 2002
PowerPoint 2002 saw the introduction of much improved animations capabilities. Objects could now to given; entrance, emphasis and exit animations and also be made to follow a prescribed route around the slide using motion paths. An improved clipboard was also added.
PowerPoint 2003
Improvements were made to PowerPoint's interface. Subtle movements of the mouse prompted navigational buttons to appear in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Videos could now be embedded without the need to use a full screen or a pop up.
PowerPoint 2007
Along with the other Office 2007 applications, PowerPoint 2007 adopted the new Ribbon interface and a new file format. This made PowerPoint 2007 presentations in-compatible with earlier versions, although a converter was available. The handling of images and video was much improved, but the main focus of this version was usability. The introduction of 'galleries' and re-usable 'building blocks' made the production of presentations easier than ever. Charts and Tables are now produced using the native tools from Word and Excel directly in PowerPoint.
PowerPoint 2010
Improvements to the Ribbon interface were the main feature of PowerPoint 2010, with new Animations and Transitions tabs giving much better control of your animations but we also saw better video handling, an re-vamped 'Presenter View' and the ability to present your presentations over the internet using the free, 'Broadcast your Show' feature.
PowerPoint 2013
The look of PowerPoint was modernized through the use of borderless windows and the removal of the title bar. Presentations can now be shown in the 16:9 format used by modern widescreen monitors and projectors. 2013 also saw the introduction of some fantastic new transition effects, upgraded Presenter mode and Smartguides, that helps you navigate and measure your objects visually. 2013 also saw the introduction of Office 365 and with it PowerPoint Online, a great way to create, update and share your presentation from anywhere on any device.
PowerPoint 2016
Powerpoint Designer - It uses smart image analysis and automated design functionality to find the most compelling aspects of the selected image.
Tell-Me Box. Look for the light bulb, click, type and hit enter. You’ll get some helpful suggestions that can save you time rather than hunt for answers online.
Sharing Tools. There’s great collaboration functionality throughout the 2016 Office suite. If you click on Share, you can save files to a SharePoint or OneDrive location, invite others to join your project and set access levels. You can even work on a presentation in real time without overwriting changes.
Bing Interface. Want some context for a word in your presentation? Highlight it and right-click on the Smart Lookup feature. You’ll have access to Bing search results, dictionary entries Wikipedia entries and related images.
Quick Shapes. With PowerPoint 2016, you can use Quick Styles to select a style for a shape you draw. You can also adjust the color intensity.
New Charts. This is another feature incorporated throughout the Office 2016 suite, New available options include Box and whisker, Pareto, Sunburst, Treemap, and Waterfall.

MS Powerpoint offers a lot of amazing features, same as Open Office Impress.
They do make sure people deserves something because users are paying a lot for this. Why not use Impress? They're free but it offers same features as Powerpoint.

Well I think some people might not want to switch to Impress is that, there designs and themes offered in Ppt is not available in Impress. Because when you present your work, of course you'll choose of what's best and most pleasing to the eyes of your audience, right?thegreatunknown wrote:Yeah we should adapt in using Impress.ilovebts wrote:MS Powerpoint offers a lot of amazing features, same as Open Office Impress.

It is so costly, that's why people were convinced to do piracy for the sake of accessing it. Sad but true.thenextavenger wrote:More or less its 6500php' it is a Microsoft Powerpoint 2016 licensed.thegreatunknown wrote:How's the prices tho? haha

I think the format of scale in orientation, the fonts that you used (if you don't embed it correctly). But the process of printing it, same pa rin.glocellmejares wrote:E.g gumawa ako sa 2016 version na ppt then nagpaprint ako sa ibang pc pero 2007 yung version, ano mga possible na mangyari?

Hmmmm. Just align it backward to make it serve as a background. Then resize it depending on your slide format. That's it!choiverano wrote:Is there any way to make my gif used as a background slide

PowerPoint uses ZIP-64 (for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions), so the file sizes have no theoretical size limit. Well, ok, there is a limit: 16 Exabytes (2 to the 64th power).choiverano wrote:How much size can powerpoint file can hold?
You won't be able to load, view or edit files that big. The real limit is your computer, it's RAM, the operating system version and file system (NTFS vs FAT).
And also, you need to consider the limits on your computer.
